The spring issue of JEMS explores the church's relationship to missions. Ireland opens by examining the identity of “the least of these” in Matthew 25:31–46, drawing implications for a missional ecclesiology. Thigpen then introduces Kingdom cultural intelligence as a missiological strategy for revitalizing the church’s mission in a spiritually hungry world. Gallagher analyzes Paul’s speech to the Ephesian elders, highlighting his warning against destructive forces within and outside the cross-cultural church community. Next, Newell revisits the local church’s role in sending missionaries, followed by Holcomb's examination of covocationalism, arguing that it may unintentionally contribute to ministerial burnout and confusion if not critically assessed. Following these works is a theological dialogue between Wright and Cornell on the biblical theology of mission.

The issue concludes with book reviews on three recent missiological works.
